Botrea Branch

The Botrea branch began with John Lanyon and Marie Ellis who were baptising their children at Sancreed in the early 17th century. They lived at Botrea House in Sancreed.

Parts of Sancreed parish church date back to the 15th century.

Sancreed parish register began in 1559 and the Lanyons are some of the first parishioners mentioned.
